LocalyDrive.com – Car Rental Terms of Use

Effective Date: 20 June 2025

By using LocalyDrive.com (“we,” “our,” “us”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Rental Service Scope

LocalyDrive connects users with local car rental providers in various regions. We act as a platform to facilitate booking, but the rental agreement is between the customer and the selected rental provider.

2. Eligibility for Renting

To rent a car, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old

  • Hold a valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience

  • Present official identification (passport or national ID)

  • Provide supporting documents where required (e.g., proof of employment, student status, travel details)

3. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via the website or affiliated channels.

  • A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your reservation.

  • Payment links are sent after vehicle availability is confirmed.

  • Payment methods accepted: credit card, bank transfer, or local options (as available).

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation terms vary by rental provider.

  • A full or partial refund may be granted depending on notice period and rental conditions.

  • No-shows or late arrivals may result in cancellation without refund.

5. Vehicle Use Policy

  • You are responsible for the safe and lawful use of the vehicle.

  • Vehicles must not be used for racing, off-roading, or illegal activities.

  • The renter is liable for any damage, theft, or violation during the rental period, unless otherwise covered by insurance.

6. Driver Responsibility

  • Only registered drivers listed in the booking may operate the vehicle.

  • The vehicle must be returned on time and in the same condition as received.

  • Fuel, tolls, fines, and cleaning fees are the responsibility of the renter.

7. Insurance and Deposit

  • Basic insurance coverage may be included, depending on the provider.

  • Additional insurance may be offered at extra cost.

  • A security deposit may be required and will be refunded upon safe return of the vehicle.

8. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will take effect once posted on the website.

9. Limitation of Liability

LocalyDrive is not liable for any direct or indirect losses, damages, or delays caused by rental providers, user error, or external events beyond our control.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between renters and rental providers should be resolved directly. We may assist in communication but do not assume legal responsibility.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Important Information

Franchise

An incident deductible is AUD 3000.00 including tax.
Car Theft Franchise is AUD 3000.00 including tax.

Collateral at the front desk

A car rental company is required to provide a deposit of AUD 3000.00 upon receipt of the car. The mortgage will be returned after the end of the lease, if all conditions are fulfilled.

Mileage / Kilometers

Your rental includes an unlimited number of free miles.

Age requirements

The minimum rental age for this car is 18 years.

Getting a car

Passport or ID is required.
An international driver’s license is required if the national driver’s license is not printed in English.

Payment methods

The primary driver must have a credit card in his / her name when picking up the car. The card must have sufficient funds available to cover the amount of the deductible / down payment (which will be blocked on the card during the rental).

Cash and debit cards are not accepted.

Insurance

Insurance coverage

Collision damage waiver (CDW): Includes 20% tax; Excess 1,205 GBP

Theft waiver (TW): Includes 20% tax; Excess 1,205 GBP

Third party liability protection (TP): Includes 20% tax; Maximum Coverage Unlimited.

The Excess Liability is the amount determined by the car rental supplier for which you can be held liable in case of damage/theft of the vehicle. Damage to or loss of tyres, windscreens, glass and undercarriage may not be covered by the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). Please check with the rental agent at the desk.

If you purchase the Excess Reimbursement Insurance from a third party, the main driver will be required to present their credit card at the rental desk in order for the car rental agent to authorize the deposit.
